It took me a while, but I finished Dark Star by Alan Furst. Vacation in New Orleans slowed me down, plus it’s just rather a slow read.

And I Stopped Writing…
…the screenplay I had been working on. Over 10K words in an outline of 40+ scenes. I thought we had something pretty good going (or, at least, something “not sucking”), but my co-writer suddenly decided that, no, we had to start over.
<insert sound of screeching brakes, smashing glass and a doubletake here>
Start over? The fuck … ?
Let’s just say my participation in this project has now been canceled due to “creative differences”. That’s the way it goes sometimes.
I do plan to write a feature-length screenplay this year. Seems like good writing practice. Something new and different. It just won’t be happening anytime real soon.
